As an axe-man, A.H.M.A.D. is inspired by a wide range of influences such as The Killers, Katy Perry, Guns N Roses, System of a Down, Megadeth, Metallica, Lady Gaga. The Beatles, Eminem, The Rolling Stones, Def Leppard, Aerosmith, AC/DC, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, and various Pop, Rock, Alternative, Metal, Lebanese and Middle Eastern Music. A.H.M.A.D. is a non-conformist. Therefore, he brings some knowledge and vision to what he loves to do most; and if you notice some attitude, it's just based on confidence; if you see the "smart ass" in him, it is in fact the "book smart ass" side of him. A.H.M.A.D. is passionate about classic rock, and his style reflects that. However, his approach is to always get creative and experiment with crossovers whenever he is writing his original music, such as integrating middle-eastern sounds into his compositions. He is focused on the ingredients that make a good song. If you want to categorize one song as hard rock or even metal that's fine, if you want to label another one as mainstream pop that's OK too. A.H.M.A.D. has toured the United States supporting acts such as Bumblefoot, Dizzy Reed & Gilby Clarke from Guns N Roses, Rex Brown from Pantera, Dokken, Stephen Pearcy from RATT, Steel Panther, Neil Turbin from Anthrax, Phil Lewis of LA Guns, Michael Angelo Batio, Faster Pussycat, Love/Hate...etc. He tours occasionally w/ Johnny B. Frank from Kingdom Come on the Bass. A.H.M.A.D. is currently the lead guitarist for the Manchester based UK rock band Shaughnessy who will be on tour in England in May. After the band will be working on a new album. WHAT THE PRESS IS SAYING
The Examiner said "...on guitar was A.H.M.A.D. I put him on my list of top 5 guitar players ever. He is a god on the strings...Their show did not disappoint. A.H.M.A.D. himself jammed the guitar so hard he broke several strings during the set - now that is rocking hard! When he plays his fingers move over the guitar at lighting speed. Lead vocalist Erika is metal sexy. Her vocals are strong, she has range, and she entertains as she sings. Putting sexy into Hard Rockin'/Metal, this lady moves as well as she sings and knows how to captivate the audience. Like the music, the movement on stage is fast and it is hard to turn your eyes off stage because there is never a dull moment."
"A.H.M.A.D. is quickly ascending the SoCal music scene. Edgy, hard, and everything Rock ‘n Roll. They are what any hard music fan wants. They have been making noise since they started and after seeing them on stage I can understand why. Put them on your list of bands to see...." ROCKwell UnScene said: "This edgy LA band has one hell of a resume and has been opening support for Dizzy Reed from Guns 'n Roses, Dokken, Stephen Pearcy from RATT, Neil Turbin from Anthrax, Phil Lewis of LA Guns, Michael Angelo Batio, Faster Pussycat, Love/Hate and more. A band can’t just jump on a stage like this. They have to be a great band and A.H.M.A.D fits that bill. Their female lead vocalist (Erika Renee) is a mix of Courtney Love and Pat Benatar. Smoking hot with vocals to match, this lady demands your attention on stage. However, she is backed up by the rest of the guys in the band, including the guitar virtuoso who the band is named after, AHMAD. I have seen this band a few times and if you like true rock and roll sound and style this is your band....." Stephanie Shira from Babble and Beat Magazine said " An obvious influence is Lebanese guitarist A.H.M.A.D. musical upbringing. Some songs from their album sound like what would happen if Jimmy Page and the Rahbani brothers worked together. A.H.M.A.D. is a talented guitarist and has a magnetic stage presence that could attract a fourteen year old girl and an 85 year old man equally." Meukus from Roadrunner Records said "I was pleasantly surprised to hear an instrumental. $#@%, I don't hear those often enough as I probably should. Your sound truly speaks for itself. 10/10" |
